Fascinated with the fragility and danger of broken mirrors, along with nudity and its relationship with self expression, nicola, creator of Art for Ransom, uses material to challenge concept of physical form.
Based out of Boston, MA, nicola's use of nontraditional material juxtaposed with the familiar of the natural form allows the audience to expand and question reality in relation to familiarity.
Awarded a residency at the prestigious Boston Center for the Arts in 2023, nicola continues to expand on her craft as well as her community.
nicola’s work has been exhibited throughout the city in various spaces offering engagement and interaction such as “FIRE IN THE BASEMENT” at the Piano Craft Gallery, “Day of the Dead Ofrenda” at the ICA Watershed and “Face Me” with Boston’s historic Strand Theater and the Cyclorama.
